last night, i decided to cook. like, really cook.
for the past few days, my dad and i have been alone in the house cause my mom is in the hospital, watching over my lola. now since i don't cook (i can only bake), we have been eating a whole lotta fried stuff. fried bangus, fried chicken, fried longganiza...name it, we've fried it. so last night, for the first time, i decided to serve veggies to my poppy.
i don't even know what to call what i cooked, but it had beef, tofu, asparagus, red peppers, onions, snow peas, togue, and young corn. how nutritious can you get, huh? hee! i figured that'll make up for all the fried shit we've been eating.

so how'd i fare? hmmm, not bad, i guess. it wasn't something nigella would probably serve, but give me a little credit here. like i said, i don't cook. i bake. it didn't turn out the way i
before schmuck started eating, i already told him that it's not good. you know how you like to downplay things so you don't disappoint people? bwarharhar! but schmuck, being the sweetie that he is, said it was good and even helped himself to a second serving. what a doll!
anyhoo, it may not have been a smashing success, but i'd like to think that i'm a work in progress. give me a few months and i'd be cooking kare-kare like a pro! WISH!
i'm sooo raving today because i finally got this....

it's a photo bracelet and it's sooo nice! and i can even change the pictures whenever i want. how cool is that!!! it's my first (meaning there is a second, and probably a third, or a fourth...) christmas gift to myself and i love it, i love it, i love it!
i also got my very first christmas card for the year, and what a surprise! it's from fellow w@wie and now blog friend leah (ni joseph)! there's this christmas card xchange (ccx) activity from w@w, and it's something like a kris kringle. you're assigned another w@wie as your "baby" and you're supposed to give a christmas card.
anyhoo, leah and i have been emailing each other because we're both getting married in the same beautiful church. imagine my surprise when i turned out to be her ccx "baby"! haha! thanks talaga for the lovely card, leah!
you know who my ccx "baby" is? teehee! she's also one of my blog friends, but i ain't telling who!
a little bit off topic...our office christmas party is coming up, and i'm trying to come up with some fun games we could play. one game that my good friend dale concocted (which i'm planning to shamelessly copy) is PIN THE MOLE ON ATE GUY. i'm sure you guys are familiar with the game pin the tail on the donkey. so this is a variation of sorts, where we have a picture of ate guy (nora aunor, for the non-noranians out there...hahaha!) and you try and pin the mole on her face. hilarious!!!
i still need more games though. any ideas?
